Helping the stray cats of Aegina
We are a charity supporting the neutering of cats on Aegina island, Greece
About ACC
Aegina is a beautiful island in the Saronic Gulf, just off the coast from Athens. Our human population is about 15,000; and our feline population is about 10,000 (it's a very rough estimate; no one has ever tried to count).
Although only recently registered officially, the ACC members have been working to trap, neuter, and release the cats on the island for decades. Learn more about our dedicated volunteer team here.
Our mission:
-
We show love to our island cats by keeping their numbers down
-
We bring stray cats to our local vets for neutering
-
We support stray cat welfare
-
We raise money for stray cat neutering and welfare through charity events and soliciting donations
-
We promote cat care, affection and appreciation
Testimonials
We were upset by the hungry kittens during our visit. We called ACC to help and donated to cover the costs. We may not have returned if not for ACC.

I called ACC many times for help with feral cats during visits to Aegina. They do valuable work. ACC alleviates the suffering of cats on the island.
Jake Brown
ACC helped me bring a kitten to the UK. I couldn’t have done it without them. I can’t imagine my life without him. Thank you everyone at ACC!

With ACC, we have been managing a colony of feral cats that are now happy. I don’t know what the situation would be like if we didn’t have ACC.
